Prep Time 10 minutes
Total Time 10 minutes
Servings: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced (plus a few for garnish)
  • 2 cups plain Greek yogurt (2% or whole milk for best creaminess)
  • 2–3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional but recommended)
  • 1 cup granola (or a mix of oats, nuts, and seeds)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional, for brightening the strawberries)
  • Pinch of salt (brings out flavor in the yogurt)
  • Optional add-ins: chia seeds, flaxseed, shredded coconut, dark chocolate shavings, or a dash of cinnamon

Method

  1. Prep the strawberries: Slice the strawberries and toss with lemon juice if using. If your berries aren’t very sweet, add 1–2 teaspoons of honey and let them sit for 5–10 minutes to release their juices.
  2. Sweeten the yogurt: In a bowl, stir the Greek yogurt with honey or maple syrup, vanilla, and a small pinch of salt. Taste and adjust sweetness. The yogurt should be lightly sweet and tangy.
  3. Choose your glasses: Use clear glasses or jars for visible layers. Short tumblers work, as do small mason jars if you’re meal-prepping.
  4. Layer 1 – yogurt: Spoon a layer of yogurt into the bottom of each glass and smooth it gently.
  5. Layer 2 – strawberries: Add a layer of strawberries. Include a bit of their juice if you’ve macerated them for extra flavor.
  6. Layer 3 – crunch: Sprinkle granola or your crunchy mix on top of the berries. Don’t pack it down; keep it light so it stays crisp.
  7. Repeat the layers: Add another round of yogurt, strawberries, and granola until you reach the top of the glass, finishing with a few berries for garnish.
  8. Finish with extras: If you like, add a drizzle of honey, a pinch of cinnamon, or a few chocolate shavings.
  9. Serve right away or chill: For the best crunch, enjoy immediately. If prepping ahead, wait to add granola until serving.
